Claiming Your Light at Sea Event is a deeply reflective, restorative journey designed for those curious about narcissistic patterns in relationships and who feel called to deepen their self-connection and personal clarity.
Set against the calming rhythm of the sea, this immersive week blends education, self-reflection, and community to create a space where understanding turns into clarity—and clarity into empowerment.
Guided by Dr. Ramani’s compassionate and grounded approach, each day builds upon the next. We begin by creating safety and connection, gently exploring what brings each participant to this work. From there, the week unfolds into a clear, nuanced understanding of narcissism—what it truly is, how it operates in real relationships, and why it can leave such lasting emotional impact. Through engaging talks and thoughtful hands-on exercises, participants gain language for experiences that may have long felt confusing or isolating.
As the journey continues, we explore trauma, attachment, and the invisible ways narcissistic abuse reshapes identity, self-trust, and the nervous system. These responses are reframed not as weakness, but as adaptive survival. Healing is then approached realistically and compassionately—as an ongoing practice of reclaiming boundaries, values, and authenticity rather than chasing closure.
The week closes by widening the lens to include culture, power, and context, followed by reflection, integration, and shared wisdom. Participants leave not “fixed,” but steadier, clearer, and more deeply connected to themselves—carrying forward insight, resilience, and their own reclaimed light.

Claiming Your Light –An Event at Sea with Dr. Ramani
DAY 1 — Welcome Meet & Greet
Begin the journey by gathering in a relaxed, welcoming setting to connect with fellow guests and Dr. Ramani. This informal meet and
greet offers space to settle in, share intentions, and ease into the week ahead. Through light conversation and shared presence, we’ll create a sense of community and set a thoughtful, supportive tone for the experience to unfold — together. We will also do a brief self-study so we understand what brings us to this question and the different types of relationships we hope to explore.
Day 2 — Understanding Narcissism: What It Is, What It Isn’t, and Why It Matters
Dr. Ramani opens the week by demystifying narcissism and antagonistic personality styles. Moving beyond stereotypes and pop-psychology labels, she explores how narcissism actually operates in real relationships. Through real-world examples and accessible language, this talk explains why narcissistic behavior feels so confusing, destabilizing, and difficult to name. Attendees gain clarity on common myths, warning signs, and why traditional advice often fails when narcissism is involved. We will engage in a hands-on activity to review the ways that narcissistic traits show up in our relationships, and she will answer any questions you have!
Day 3 — Inside Narcissistic Relationships: Why They Pull You In and Keep You Stuck
Today we explore emotional mechanics of narcissistic relationships — romantic, familial, workplace, and social. Dr. Ramani breaks down cycles such as idealization, devaluation, betrayal, trauma, and trauma-bonding, and explains why intelligent, capable people stay in relationships that hurt them. Attendees will recognize patterns, roles, and relational dynamics that quietly shape their experiences and sense of self. Another engaging hands-on event will happen today to review the many ways gaslighting and manipulation show up in these relationships.
Day 4 — Trauma, Attachment, and the Invisible Impact of Narcissistic Abuse
The painful transaction of these relationships is self-silencing, self- suppression, and self-abandonment to be loved. Narcissistic abuse leaves deep psychological imprints that are often misunderstood — even by survivors themselves. In this session, Dr. Ramani explains how trauma, attachment, and nervous system responses shape reactions like self-doubt, longing, grief, and difficulty leaving. This talk helps attendees understand their internal experiences without shame and reframes these responses as adaptive — not weak. We will make a “narcissism bingo” card to help us reflect on how to navigate the relationships we cannot readily leave.
Day 5 — What does healing look like?
Whether we step out of the relationship or just disengage, healing means transitioning from surviving to growth, from self-silencing to authenticity. Today we will review different ways to approach healing, creating more coherent narratives, and tolerating multiple truths that don’t always fit together. Healing is a lifelong commitment, and a daily practice, and Dr. Ramani discusses why healing takes time, why closure is rare, and how survivors begin-rebuilding clarity, boundaries, and self-trust while moving forward with realism rather than false hope. Today we will also do an exercise on who we are, what we stand for, and how to live in alignment with that in the safe spaces we do have.
Day 6 — Power, Culture, and Context: Narcissism in the Real World Even when we try to heal as individuals, how do we navigate a world where narcissistic patterns are reinforced and incentivized. Many people who have endured these relationship feel that even watching the news is unsettling. Narcissistic relationships don’t exist in a vacuum. Dr. Ramani explores how culture, gender, family systems, power imbalances, and social conditioning influence narcissistic dynamics — and why some people face higher risk and greater barriers to leaving. This session invites a broader lens on narcissism,
emphasizing compassion, context, and informed awareness as tools for resilience.
DAY 7 — Closing Q&R and Reflections (“What Happens on Monday?”)
It can be difficult to go back to “regular life” after a week focused on growth and healing. This interactive session invites questions, shared insights, and meaningful dialogue with fellow participants. Together, we’ll reflect on key themes from the week, explore lingering curiosities, and consider how the perspectives gained can be integrated into everyday life. This closing gathering offers space for clarity, connection, and a grounded sense of completion as we carry these reflections forward. Today is also devoted to questions and answers and a chance to bring together what we learned, as well as one last hands-on exercise to integrate. It will be a day of sharing what has worked, what hasn’t worked, and paying it forward to our fellow travelers!
DAY 8 — Disembark in Split
After a nourishing breakfast, we will gather one last time to share heartfelt goodbyes with newfound friends and fellow participants. As we disembark, let’s take a moment to reflect on the journey we’ve shared – the insights gained, the connections made, and the compassion cultivated throughout this transformative experience. May we carry the lessons of healing, connection, authenticity, and understanding into our lives and communities. Until we meet again, let’s hold each other in our hearts, embodying the spirit of compassion and connection we’ve embraced together. Safe travels, and may your paths be filled with light and warmth and clarity.
